Scope of Project:

The work involved staged removal and replacement of existing pumps, creating a new Electrical Room at NBPS by removing the indoor genset and part of the ventilation system.

The work also included:

  • Setup of Temporary 1250 KW diesel Generator Set during the removal of the existing generator

  • Upgrades to the existing 1050 diameter discharge header pipe with station shutdown

  • Installation of a new underground precast cable duct system from the new MCC to the exterior Generator and new primary transformer

  • Construction of a new reinforced concrete structural foundation for the installation of a new 2000 KW Generator

  • Installation of new electrical equipment including new VFDs, switchgear, PLC control panels, ATS, communications cabling, etc.

Scope of Project:

Reservoir works include concrete repair of the top surface of the roof slab. Removal of existing waterproofing membrane and replacement of new waterproofing membrane system on reservoir roof deck and upper portion of exterior side walls. Installation of perimeter drain system, reinstall existing soil, place new topsoil and Sod. Self perform all civil works.

The work also included:

  • Replacement of the BPS suction and header system, including three booster pumps and associated piping and valve system

  • Electrical upgrades including the replacement of the MCC (Motor Control Center), standby power generating system, and associated fuel storage

  • Replacement of the SCADA system, including UPS, network, and workstation

Carson Drive SPS Upgrades

Kitchener, On

Scope of Project:

Carson Dr. Sewage Pumping Station upgrades included the installation of a new water service, excavation work with wood lagging shoring system, and a dewatering system. A bypass system was set up to maintain existing flows during the installation of new manhole and overflow piping.

The work also included:

  • Self-performance of all civil works including the connection of the manhole and grinder chamber to the existing sewer

  • Connection of flow meter chamber and bypass manhole to the existing force main

  • Installation of electrical and instrumentation/control equipment

  • Maintenance of existing flows to ensure completion of new works
